LINKDISK / QUESTIONS

Where are my files stored with LinkDisk?

LinkDisk is being built for European digital sovereignty: European teams, infrastructure and control over data. For managed storage, we aim to use data centres in Europe whose operators can demonstrate ISO/IEC 27001 certification.

During development, we keep file versions in encrypted managed storage. Final production providers and locations have not been selected. The requirements below are therefore not a claim about a location or certification already in place for a public service.

What does European sovereignty mean for my files?

  1. 01

    European people

We intend to put development, operations and support under the responsibility of European teams and companies. Supplier access to customer data must be limited and auditable.

  2. 02

    European infrastructure

For the service managed by LinkDisk, we will select suppliers under European ownership and control, with data centres in Europe. We will check that the operator has valid ISO/IEC 27001 certification and that its scope covers the service we use. Databases, backups and keys must also meet the European location requirement.

  3. 03

    Your data, your control

Your files remain yours or your organisation's. LinkDisk-managed storage and processing must stay in Europe and must not move silently. If you connect another storage source yourself, that source's location and terms also apply.
